Have you ever convinced yourself that if you don’t deal with your grief, then it will just magically go away on its own? If so, you’re definitely not alone! This is something I hear from people all the time. They are afraid to confront their grief because then they might not be able to stuff it back down again.

I can almost promise you that your grief isn’t going anywhere. Whether you are dealing with it or not, it will never just go away on its own. You have to first acknowledge your grief in order to begin processing it and finding a healthy way to cope with it.
